All About The Hustle

We are excited to bring to the SW London community an informal networking event exclusively for local businesses or for those looking to start a business/side hustle. “All about The Hustle” feature’s a different guest speaker each month to help inspire and grow your business.

After taking a break for the summer we are back with a bang, this is a Mega All About The Hustle, where we will be joined by 3 guest speakers who will be sharing there business story and offering advice. All 3 ladies will be showing you that there is more than one way to run a successful business.

The first hour is an opportunity for you to mingle and connect with other local businesses. You can utilise this hour by exchanging business cards, showing samples of your product or just having a good natter with other local businesses/entrepreneurs.


Anne-Marie: Founder of Diddi Dance and Under1Roof. Diddi Dance is an award-winning funky preschool dance class for both boys and girls aged from 18 months and upwards. Diddi Dance runs nationwide with 40 franchises.  Anne-Marie is also the masterminded of Under 1 Roof, a venue which hosts a wide range of services for young families in South East London. She has won numerous awards and is continually recognized for excellence in her field.

Laura: Founder of The Modern NurseryThe Modern Nursery is an award-winning, aspirational lifestyle store showcasing contemporary nursery decor & toys.  Laura set up The Modern Nursery at 30 weeks pregnant with her first born, Alba, after she was unable to find contemporary items for Alba’s nursery that fitted in with her style. Laura is super strategic, her Instagram boasts a following of 126k

Gemma: Founder of Mutha Hood. Gemma is the woman behind the Mutha Hood brand and iconic ‘Strong Girls Club’ Tees. She creates ethically produced clothes and accessories that champion and empower women, Gemma is known for her fun, witty Instagram stories. Gemma also shares very honestly and candidly her life as a businesswoman and a mother.

Itinerary for the day:

12:00 – 13:00 – Sandwiches and choice of juice/tea/coffee

Attendees will have the opportunity to spend the first-hour mingling, exchanging business cards and or samples of their products.

13:00 – 13:45 – 60 seconds to introduce yourself and your business to the group  (if you are feeling brave, no worries if you’re not)

13:45 – 14:15 – Hand over to Anne- Marie

14:15 – 14:30 – Break

14:30 – 15:00 – Hand over to Laura

15:30 – 16:00 – Hand over to Gemma

16:00 –  Question and answer session

16:30 – That’s a Wrap: Please stay to enjoy a glass of wine/juice and Canapés

We encourage the audience to participate by asking as many questions throughout the talk, no need to wait until the end of each talk.
